Rahul Gandhi Calls for CEC Gyanesh Kumar's Resignation Amid Protests
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi urged Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign and become an approver, claiming he is not the main culprit in alleged vote theft. Gandhi stated that the Opposition is targeting those behind Kumar's actions and plans to file a petition with the Supreme Court regarding the protests against electoral irregularities. He reported that many Delhi Police personnel are disturbed by their deployment against protesters. A recent meeting with President Droupadi Murmu saw the Opposition demand Kumar's resignation and the repeal of a law granting him life-long immunity. Gandhi alleged that 24 elections have been compromised and expressed surprise at the President's acceptance of their claims without denial.
