Delhi Assembly Receives Bomb Threat Emails Ahead of Tamil Nadu Polls
On April 13, the Delhi Assembly received two bomb threat emails warning against Brahmins joining the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. The threats were sent to the Vidhansabha Sabha Secretariat and Speaker Vijender Gupta's email. The emails claimed the assembly would be blown up due to the involvement of S. V. Shekhar, described as a 'BJP Brahmin agent.' In response, Delhi Police deployed bomb disposal units and conducted a search of the assembly complex, finding nothing suspicious. This incident follows a recent security breach at the assembly where a vehicle crashed through a gate. Tamil Nadu is set to hold elections on April 23, with counting on May 4, featuring key parties including the DMK and AIADMK.
