US Claims Progress in Controlling Iranian Airspace Amid Ongoing Conflict
The United States is reportedly making strides toward controlling Iranian airspace, with objectives expected to be met in four to six weeks, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. The ongoing conflict has resulted in over 1,230 deaths in Iran, more than 200 in Lebanon, and around a dozen in Israel since it began a week ago. Israeli airstrikes have intensified, particularly in Tehran and Beirut, leading to significant civilian displacement. In response, Iranian officials have rejected US President Donald Trump's assertion of a role in selecting Iran's next leader, asserting that only Iranians can determine their future. The conflict has escalated across multiple Middle Eastern countries, with heavy casualties reported and ongoing military operations from both sides.
