Supreme Court Petition Challenges Voter Re-inclusion Process in Delhi

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court addressing issues with the re-inclusion process for voters in Delhi. During the special intensive revision, 47,56,722 electors were excluded from the draft electoral roll. The petition argues that requiring these individuals to fill Form 6, which implies they are registering for the first time, is misleading. It also highlights potential legal consequences for false declarations under the Representation of the People Act, 1950. Additionally, the petition questions the legality of an extra declaration linked to previous electoral rolls, which was modified in subsequent guidelines. Activists Anjali Bhardwaj and Amrita Johri filed the petition, which follows another case regarding discrepancies in the electoral revision process.
