US Disrupts Chinese Hacking Operation Targeting Sensitive Government Agencies
The United States has disrupted a Chinese hacking operation targeting multiple sensitive government agencies, including the Justice Department and NASA. The US Justice Department seized domains linked to two hacking platforms, QScan and QTRouter, allegedly operated by Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company. The operation also affected companies in South Korea. Experts noted an increase in private contractors involved in sophisticated hacking for Chinese government agencies. The Chinese Embassy in Washington did not respond to requests for comment, and Beijing has previously denied involvement in state-sponsored cyberattacks.
