Marco Rubio to Visit India for Trade and Energy Talks
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit India from October 17 to 22, following a trip to Uzbekistan. This visit marks Rubio's second trip to India this year, following discussions in May that highlighted trade and energy issues. Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar indicated that trade negotiations are progressing towards a resolution, despite challenges related to tariffs and market access. Rubio's visit aims to address these trade differences and promote investment opportunities, particularly in the context of the Reliance refinery in Jamnagar, the world's largest single-site facility.
