Rahul Gandhi Criticises BJP Over Indore Diarrhoea Outbreak
Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition and Congress lawmaker, criticized the BJP on Saturday regarding a diarrhoea outbreak in Indore linked to contaminated water. The state health department confirmed six deaths, while local residents claim the toll is higher, with a panel attributing at least 15 deaths to the outbreak. Over 450 people have been hospitalized, with five patients currently in the ICU. Gandhi met affected families and provided financial assistance, while the state administration has distributed ₹2 lakh to 18 families. He highlighted the broader issue of water contamination across several states, calling for government accountability and systematic solutions to ensure clean water availability.
