Ten Bills Scheduled for Upcoming Winter Parliament Session
The Lok Sabha has listed ten bills for the winter session of Parliament, set from December 1 to 19. Key proposals include the Atomic Energy Bill 2025, which will permit private players in the nuclear energy sector, and the Higher Education Commission of India Bill, 2025, aimed at establishing a single regulator for higher education. The HECI will subsume existing bodies like the UGC and AICTE, while maintaining separate regulation for medical and law education. Other bills include amendments to the National Highways Act for expedited land acquisition and updates to the Companies Act to enhance business ease. The session will also address the 131st Constitution amendment bill for Chandigarh and amendments to insurance and arbitration laws.
