Rajnath Singh Suggests Sindh May Rejoin India, Cites Cultural Ties
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that borders can change, suggesting that Sindh, now in Pakistan, could return to India. Speaking at the Sindhi Samaj Sammelan in New Delhi, he highlighted the region's deep civilisational connections to India. Singh referenced the views of L.K. Advani, noting that many Sindhi Hindus have not fully accepted the separation of Sindh since 1947. He emphasized the sacred significance of the Indus River, which is revered by both Hindus and Muslims in the region. Singh's remarks come amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor in May.
