Rajnath Singh Visits Germany to Strengthen Defence Cooperation
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Germany for three days starting Tuesday to establish a bilateral defence industrial roadmap. The roadmap aims to facilitate co-development and co-production of military hardware. Singh will meet German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius to discuss enhancing defence collaboration, military engagements, and opportunities in cyber security and drones. A defence industrial cooperation roadmap and an arrangement for UN Peacekeeping operations training are expected to be signed. The visit follows a seven-year gap since the last visit by an Indian defence minister, with Singh also set to engage with German defence industry representatives to promote joint development under the 'Make in India' initiative.
