PM Modi Launches ₹830 Crore Development Projects in West Bengal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Singur, West Bengal, launching development projects worth over ₹830 crore. He flagged off three Amrit Bharat trains connecting Kolkata with New Delhi, Varanasi, and Chennai. Modi inaugurated the Jayrambati-Barogopinathpur-Maynapur rail line and laid the foundation for the Extended Port Gate System in Hooghly district, which aims to enhance cargo handling efficiency. The project spans approximately 900 acres and is expected to improve cargo evacuation by diverting vessel movement from congested urban areas.
