PM Modi Advocates for Global Market Access for Indian Farmers

Modi stated that the Union government's budget for 2026-27 aims to transform agriculture into a globally competitive sector. He noted that nearly 100 million farmers have received over ₹4 lakh crore through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Modi called for clear goals to enhance agricultural exports and proposed region-specific promotion of crops. He also advocated for modernisation in the fishery sector to boost exports and income for fishers, while stressing the importance of chemical-free farming for sustainable agriculture.
