Piyush Goyal to Attend G20 Trade Ministerial in US This September
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit the US for the G20 Trade Ministerial in Milwaukee, starting September 30. He is expected to hold bilateral talks with US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer to discuss a bilateral trade agreement and ways to enhance two-way commerce and investments. The two countries are in ongoing negotiations regarding the trade pact, which aims to provide India with a competitive advantage in the US market. In 2025-26, India exported goods worth approximately USD 87 billion to the US. The G20 forum includes major economies that collectively represent about 85 per cent of global GDP.
