Pak ISI Uses Social Media for Espionage Operations in India
Recent arrests in Delhi highlight a coordinated espionage effort by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) targeting Indian defence personnel. Investigations reveal that Pakistani agents employ online entrapment and honeytrapping tactics, often using Indian SIM cards to establish contact. A couple arrested allegedly sent eight Indian SIM cards to Pakistan to facilitate these operations. Notable cases include a serving Indian Air Force officer accused of leaking sensitive information after being honeytrapped and a former DRDO scientist charged with sharing classified data.
