Owaisi Condemns Lynching of Hindu Man in Bangladesh, Calls for Minority Protect…

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi condemned the lynching of 27-year-old Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, earlier this month. He described the incident as 'extremely unfortunate' and contrary to Bangladesh's constitutional mandate that guarantees religious freedom. The killing has led to protests in cities including New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, with Hindu organisations demanding action for minority safety. India's Ministry of External Affairs expressed concern over ongoing hostilities against minorities in Bangladesh. In response, Dhaka claimed that the portrayal of such incidents as organized persecution is a systematic attempt to misrepresent the situation. Owaisi emphasized the importance of stability in Bangladesh for India's security, particularly in the northeastern region.
