US Defense Department to End Ivy League Military Education Programs

The US Defense Department will halt sending officers to Ivy League colleges for professional courses starting in the academic year 2026-27. Affected institutions include Harvard, MIT, and Yale, among others. Currently, 93 military students are enrolled in graduate programs at these schools. The decision follows claims that these colleges have become 'anti-American.' The Department is also limiting ties with seven think tanks. New partner schools include Liberty University and George Mason University. This shift reflects a broader strategy to align military education with national security priorities.
