Iran Rejects Transfer of Enriched Uranium Amid Ongoing US Talks
Iran has ruled out any transfer of its enriched uranium stockpiles during current or past negotiations, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei. He stated that Tehran intends to keep its nuclear achievements within the country. The announcement comes as US and Iranian representatives are set to meet in Islamabad for a second round of talks, following a previous round that ended without a breakthrough. The US proposed a 20-year suspension of Iranian nuclear activity, while Iran suggested a halt of three to five years. Security measures have been heightened in Islamabad, with road closures and traffic restrictions implemented. The ongoing conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran has been escalating for over a month.
