NIA Charges Five for Online Radicalisation Linked to Al-Qaeda

The National Investigation Agency has chargesheeted five individuals for promoting the ideologies of the banned terror group Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) via social media. The accused, including a woman, were identified as Mohammad Fardeen, Kureshi Sefulla, Mohammad Faique, Zeeshan Ali, and Shama Parveen. The NIA's investigation revealed that they disseminated anti-India content and called for armed revolt against the Indian government. Incriminating materials, including weapons and extremist literature, were seized during the investigation. Shama Parveen was found to have communicated with a Pakistani national regarding radical content, while Mohammad Faique played a key role in sharing inciting posts. The agency has traced digital footprints that strengthen the evidence against the accused.
