NIA Charges Eight in Ambala Car Bomb Blast Case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against eight individuals, including Pakistani national Shehzad Bhatti, in connection with a car bomb explosion at Baldev Nagar Police Station in Ambala. The blast occurred in January, targeting police establishments to instill fear among the public. The chargesheet details the roles of the accused, with seven identified as Indian nationals. Bhatti, who is wanted in other terrorist cases, allegedly orchestrated the attack and established operational modules in India. The NIA claims that local operatives coordinated logistics and explosive procurement, while Bhatti radicalised them through social media. Evidence indicates that the accused maintained contact with Bhatti during the planned attack.
