Three Assam Rifles Personnel Killed in Recent Attacks in Manipur
Three personnel of the Assam Rifles were killed in attacks attributed to a breakaway faction of the NSCN(IM) operating from Myanmar's Sagaing region. Security forces have detained three individuals linked to the July 6 ambush. The Eastern Flank faction, expelled from NSCN(IM), is reportedly involved in ongoing violence amid clashes between Naga and Kuki communities in Manipur. The attacks, which occurred in the Ukhrul district, utilized low-to medium-intensity explosive devices and are part of a broader conflict that has claimed over two dozen lives. An intelligence operation is underway to apprehend those responsible for the ambush.
