Aung Hlaing is accompanied by a high-level delegation. Discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 1 will cover historical ties and defence and trade relations. The visit also includes a trip to Mumbai on June 2 for business interactions. Myanmar shares a 1,640-km border with northeastern Indian states, including Nagaland and Manipur, making it a strategic neighbour for India.
