US and Israel Strike Schools Near Tehran, Following Deadly Attack

Missiles launched by the United States and Israel struck two schools in Parand, southwest of Tehran, according to Iran's Fars news agency. The attack occurred on Thursday, just six days after a separate strike on a girls' school in Minab, which resulted in the deaths of 165 schoolgirls and staff. The latest incident also caused damage to nearby residential units. Iranian authorities reported that most victims from the Minab attack were girls aged seven to 12, with at least 95 others injured. US and Israeli officials have distanced themselves from the Minab attack, with the US claiming ignorance of the school being targeted. An analysis suggested that the school was not connected to a military site, raising concerns about the intelligence used for the strikes.
