Manipur Police Arrest 13 for Circulating Non-Consensual Explicit Videos
Manipur police arrested 13 individuals, including a minor, for allegedly circulating non-consensual explicit videos and photographs of women. The arrests were made under Operation Dignity after credible information about the distribution of such material was received. A total of 14 mobile phones and a laptop were seized during the investigation. Authorities identified over 150 active Telegram channels and WhatsApp groups involved in this organized network, which reportedly monetized access to explicit content. The police recovered more than 6,000 video clips, many captured without consent using hidden cameras. The investigation continues to trace financial transactions and identify additional victims. The public has been warned against engaging with or sharing non-consensual intimate media, which could lead to criminal prosecution.
