Supreme Court Allows Friday Prayers Near Bhojshala Temple Site
The Supreme Court has permitted Muslims to offer Friday prayers near the Bhojshala-Kamal Maula mosque complex in Madhya Pradesh from 1 PM to 3 PM as an interim measure. This decision follows the Madhya Pradesh High Court's May ruling that designated the site as a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. The Supreme Court also instructed the Archaeological Survey of India not to make structural changes to the site without prior court approval. The court will hear the case in three weeks, emphasizing the need for careful handling of this sensitive issue.
