LPG Prices Unchanged Amid Rising Crude Oil Costs
As of 14 July, LPG prices for both commercial and domestic use remain stable despite increasing crude oil prices due to tensions in West Asia. The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was reduced by ₹183.50, while the 14.2-kg domestic LPG price has not changed since a hike on 7 June. Brent crude oil prices reached a one-month high of over $84 per barrel amid ongoing US-Iran hostilities. The US has conducted strikes on Iran, impacting oil supply routes, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, where traffic has decreased significantly. Oil Marketing Companies are adapting by sourcing supplies from spot markets in response to the volatile situation.
