161 Gelatin Sticks Recovered Near School in Almora, Investigation Underway
Uttarakhand Police recovered 161 gelatin sticks near a government school in Almora, prompting an investigation to determine their origin. The discovery was made after the school principal reported a suspicious object spotted by children in nearby bushes. Police cordoned off the area and conducted searches with bomb disposal and dog squad teams. An FIR has been registered against unknown persons under the Indian Explosives Act. The recovery occurs amid heightened security following recent explosive incidents, including a blast near the Red Fort and a significant seizure of explosives in Faridabad. Four investigative teams have been formed to ascertain the purpose behind placing the explosives near the school.
