Iran Launches Drone Attacks Amid Ongoing US-Israel Conflict

On 5 March, Iran escalated its military actions by launching drone attacks targeting Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan exclave, injuring two civilians. This incident is part of the broader conflict that has persisted for six days, following a joint US-Israel attack on Iran on 28 February. Iranian cleric Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli called for violence against Israelis and US President Donald Trump. Reports indicate over 1,000 fatalities in Iran, more than 70 in Lebanon, and around a dozen in Israel. The conflict has disrupted global oil supplies and international shipping. Azerbaijan condemned the drone strikes and summoned the Iranian ambassador, asserting its right to respond. The situation continues to escalate, with Iran threatening retaliation against perceived aggressors in the region.
