Indian Army Refutes Claims of Chinese Troops Advancing in Arunachal Pradesh
The Indian Army has dismissed social media claims that Chinese forces advanced nearly 50 km into Arunachal Pradesh and established control over Indian territory. The Army identified six accounts, suspected to be Pakistan-sponsored, that circulated these unsubstantiated allegations between November 6 and 7. In a post on X, the Army described the claims as part of a coordinated disinformation campaign aimed at undermining public confidence in the military. The Army urged the public to verify border-related information through credible sources before sharing. This follows a pattern of misleading posts regarding India-China tensions in the region, including manipulated videos and unrelated footage misrepresented as evidence of military setbacks.
