Airlines Suspend Flights to Saudi Arabia After Riyadh Airport Attack
Following a Houthi attack on October 10 that killed 13 people, including Indian national Mohammed Yousef Ali, airlines have suspended flights to Saudi Arabia until October 17. Indian carriers Air India, IndiGo, and Akasa Air have halted services to Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah. International airlines, including Emirates and Lufthansa, have also canceled numerous flights. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has opened a 24-hour control room to assist nationals. Passengers are advised to explore alternative travel options through neighboring Gulf countries, as operations at other Saudi airports continue but face disruptions.
