India, New Zealand Aim to Double Trade to NZ$7 Billion by 2030
India and New Zealand have set a target to double their bilateral trade in goods and services to NZ$7 billion, approximately ₹35,000 crore, by 2030. This agreement was reached during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to New Zealand, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Auckland in 40 years. The leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including trade, agriculture, and defence. They also established a Strategic Partnership and approved the India-New Zealand Strategic Partnership: Roadmap to 2030, which outlines cooperation for the next four years. Additionally, a Memorandum of Arrangement on tourism was signed to encourage non-stop flights between the two countries.
