Search and rescue operations are currently underway to locate the aircraft and the crew. Local residents reported hearing a loud explosion-like sound in the area, but authorities have not confirmed any link to the missing jet. The Sukhoi Su-30MKI is a key component of the IAF's fleet, which includes over 200 such aircraft.
