Gulf States Express Discontent Over US Handling of Iran Conflict
Gulf allies of the US are dissatisfied with the lack of warning before the escalation of the conflict with Iran. Officials from two Gulf countries reported disappointment over the US-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28, which they were not informed about in advance. Since the conflict began, Iran has launched at least 380 missiles and over 1,480 drones at Gulf nations. The situation has resulted in six US soldiers being killed in Kuwait due to an Iranian drone strike. Qatar's Energy Minister warned that Gulf energy exports could halt within weeks if the war continues, impacting global economies. Qatar has already suspended liquefied natural gas production amid escalating attacks targeting energy infrastructure in the region.
