Elon Musk Donates $276 Million to Republican Campaigns Ahead of 2026 Elections
Elon Musk has reportedly contributed $276 million to Republican campaign organisations in the lead-up to the 2026 midterm elections. This amount makes him the largest single donor for the elections scheduled for November 3. Musk's total political spending this election cycle has reached $366 million, with significant allocations including $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund and $20 million to the Congressional Leadership Fund. His contributions have been directed towards various Republican groups, including his own super PAC, America PAC, which supports candidates in seven battleground states. The new donations will be publicly disclosed as super PACs are required to report third-quarter spending. Musk's previous election cycle spending in 2024 was approximately $290 million, primarily to support Donald Trump's campaign.
