eSanjeevani Achieves 500 Million Teleconsultations Nationwide
India's National Telemedicine Service, eSanjeevani, has surpassed 500 million teleconsultations, as announced by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This platform, initiated to enhance healthcare accessibility, recorded a total of 50,00,92,730 consultations across all states and Union territories. eSanjeevani supports over 1.42 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandir spokes and 19,473 medical hubs, facilitating approximately 2.5 to 3 lakh consultations daily. Women account for 57.14% of users, while 40.15% of consultations are by individuals aged 46 and above. The service has integrated an AI-powered Clinical Decision Support System to improve consultation quality and is expanding to include specialist OPD consultations at premier government medical institutions.
