ED Uncovers Fraud at Al Falah University Linked to Red Fort Blast

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has revealed multiple regulatory violations at Al Falah University in its investigation related to the November 2025 blast near Red Fort. The ED's chargesheet indicates that three doctors linked to the blast were hired without police verification. Allegations include the use of 'on paper' doctors to secure approvals from the National Medical Commission and the admission of fake patients to create the illusion of a functional hospital. The ED estimates the proceeds of crime at ₹493.24 crore, linked to fraudulent tuition and examination fees. The university's chairman, Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, is implicated in the alleged money laundering scheme. The National Investigation Agency is also probing the terrorism aspect of the case. Further investigations may increase the alleged proceeds of crime as financial records are examined.
