Ten Arrested in Interstate Child Trafficking Racket; Nine Infants Rescued

Police have arrested 10 individuals linked to an interstate child trafficking racket, including biological parents, traffickers, and a hospital owner. Four additional children were rescued, bringing the total to nine. The arrests follow a decoy operation in central Delhi on June 5, where three suspects were caught attempting to sell a newborn. The network allegedly procured infants from biological parents and sold them to childless couples for several lakhs. Financial transactions amounting to several lakhs are under investigation. The rescued children, aged from 16 days to one year, have been placed under the care of the Child Welfare Committee. Ongoing investigations aim to uncover more members of the syndicate and additional trafficked children.
