Delhi Court Takes Cognisance of NIA Chargesheet in Red Fort Blast Case
A Delhi court has acknowledged the National Investigation Agency's 7,500-page chargesheet against 13 individuals in the Red Fort blast case. The blast, which occurred on November 10, killed 11 people and injured several others. Special Judge Prashant Sharma scheduled further proceedings for September 9. The NIA initially filed a chargesheet against 10 accused on May 14, linking them to Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an Al-Qaeda offshoot. A supplementary chargesheet was later filed against three additional suspects, including a paediatrician identified as a founding member of a terror module.
