INDIA Bloc Protests Election Commission at Supreme Court
The INDIA bloc, led by Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, conducted a protest march from Raisina Road to the Supreme Court in New Delhi. The demonstration aimed to address concerns regarding the Election Commission of India’s functioning and transparency. Participants carried the tricolour and copies of the Constitution. The Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force were deployed heavily, enforcing Section 163 in the area. Protesters breached a barricade near Le Meridien Hotel as they moved towards Barakhamba Road. The Supreme Court has allowed a delegation of 10-15 Congress members to file a petition, although they will remain outside the high-security zone. The Chief Justice of India stated that all citizens have the right to approach the court for legal relief.
