Updated 11 hours ago: The protest was led by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, involved over 300 Opposition MPs, and included specific actions such as Rahul Gandhi climbing a barricade, while the Election Commission stated it had not received meeting requests from political parties.

On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra led a protest near the Election Commission in Delhi, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The march, which began at 10 am from Parliament, involved over 300 Opposition MPs and was halted by police barricades near Akashvani Bhawan. During the protest, Priyanka Gandhi argued that police restrictions were causing public inconvenience, not the protesters. Rahul Gandhi climbed a barricade and entered the Akashvani premises, where the Congress leaders continued their demonstration despite police requests to vacate. The Election Commission stated it had not received any meeting requests from political parties regarding the ongoing allegations of electoral irregularities.
