CBI Registers FIR Against Punjab CM's OSD Over Corruption Allegations
The CBI raided eight locations linked to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's aide, Rajbir Ghuman, following a High Court order for a corruption investigation. An FIR was registered against six individuals, including Ghuman and public servants, for allegedly manipulating postings of IAS and IPS officers and other administrative matters for financial gain. The agency seized laptops, mobile phones, and documents during the searches conducted across Chandigarh, Mohali, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Patiala, Sangrur, and Jalandhar. The investigation stems from allegations raised by the Enforcement Directorate regarding widespread corruption in Punjab. The CBI has been directed to submit its report within two months.
