PM Modi Proposes Initiatives for Africa at G20 Summit in Johannesburg
At the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, PM Narendra Modi proposed several initiatives aimed at enhancing Africa's development. Modi emphasised the importance of inclusive and sustainable growth, linking Africa's progress to global advancement. He also called for a coordinated global effort to combat the drug-terror nexus, highlighting the threats posed by drug trafficking to public health and security. India is Africa's fourth-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade nearing $100 billion and investments of $75 billion in various sectors. Modi reiterated India's commitment to supporting Africa's infrastructure and connectivity through over 200 ongoing projects.
