Aero India-2027 Scheduled for February 8-12 in Bengaluru
Aero India-2027 will take place from February 8-12 in Bengaluru, marking the 16th edition of Asia’s largest airshow. The event aims to enhance India's defense manufacturing and exports, with a target of achieving ₹3 lakh crore in defense manufacturing by 2029-30. The defense ministry's department of defense production has appointed Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) as the nodal agency, supported by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). India’s defense production reached a record ₹1.78 lakh crore in FY 2025-26, a 15.6% increase from the previous year. Defense exports also hit a record ₹38,424 crore, up 63% from FY 2024-25. The airshow will facilitate partnerships between Indian and foreign companies, contributing to the government's push for indigenisation in the aerospace sector.
