Delhi Blast Suspect Reveals ₹26 Lakh Funding by Doctors

Muzammil Ganaie, a suspect in a terror module case, disclosed to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) that five doctors raised ₹26 lakh to fund coordinated terror attacks. Ganaie contributed ₹5 lakh, while Adeel Ahmad Rather and Muzaffar Ahmad Rather allegedly provided ₹8 lakh and ₹6 lakh, respectively. The group spent nearly two years acquiring explosives and remote-triggering devices. Ganaie admitted to procuring 26 quintals of NPK fertiliser for approximately ₹3 lakh, which was converted into explosive material. Three doctors have been arrested, and authorities are searching for additional suspects, including Muzaffar, who is believed to be in Afghanistan. Investigators are focusing on identifying suppliers and verifying the misuse of professional credentials within the network.
