CBI Files 11 Chargesheets in ₹6,000 Crore Mahadev App Scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed 11 chargesheets in connection with the alleged ₹6,000 crore Mahadev betting app scam, naming over 70 accused, including founders Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. The agency's filings include six chargesheets related to corruption, involving six individuals charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and the Indian Penal Code. Five chargesheets were filed against 66 individuals linked to the betting syndicate, invoking the Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act. The CBI alleges the Mahadev app operated as a major illegal betting network, reaching millions of users and laundering proceeds through mule accounts. Some accused have fled to West Asia, and Red Notices have been issued against four key figures. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the syndicate's operations and its alleged political connections.
