At least 15 killed in Udhampur bus accident
A passenger bus lost control and plunged into a gorge in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday morning, resulting in at least 15 fatalities and 20 injuries. The accident occurred around 10 AM while the bus was navigating a blind curve near Kagort village. Many of the injured are reported to be in critical condition. Rescue operations are ongoing, with local residents and emergency teams involved in evacuating survivors. Union Minister Jitendra Singh confirmed that arrangements are being made to airlift the seriously injured. Hill road accidents are a recurring issue in the region due to challenging terrain.
